After you purchase your session, you will be sent an in depth questionnaire for you to fill out about the ins and outs of your project and what you would like to accomplish in our call.
You are in charge of what you want to accomplish in our call together! A LOT can be accomplished in an hour because of your questionnaire! Common topics are helping come up with wall color, color blocking, and wallpaper ideas; Helping with styling ideas and accessory/ furniture placement; Answering general questions about design or your particular project!
Once the completed questionnaire is sent back to me, I will then review your questionnaire prior to our call so that we can make the most out of our time together!
If you want to truly have the best of both
worlds and need more help than just
choosing a few paint colors, then
add on an inspirational Idea Board
when you book! I will create your inspirational board based off of your questionnaire and have a rough draft ready for our call! We will then tweak the board together and I will send you the finalized board at the end of our session.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY DESIGN SESSION?
Typically Design Sessions are scheduled at least a week in advance. This allows you time to fill out the questionnaire and for me to be able to review it!
DO I NEED ZOOM FOR MY DESIGN SESSION?
Yes, a zoom link will be included when you book your Design Session.
WHAT DO I NEED TO HAVE READY FOR MY DESIGN SESSION?
At the very minimum, you must have the questionnaire filled out and returned to me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time. This will include photos of the room or project and what you are wanting to focus on in the session. Having the room available during the session is always a plus!
WHAT IF I MISS MY CALL TIME?
Design Sessions are non-refundable, however, if you miss your call, we can reschedule for another time for no additional fee!
WHAT DOES A DESIGN SESSION, PLUS AND IDEA BOARD INCLUDE?
Based off of your questionnaire, I will create an idea board for the project prior to our call. This board will include inspirational photos and ideas, along with photos that you have sent, in order to visualize the ideas in the space. We will then use this board as a starting off point during our call. We will make tweaks and changes together, while we work on creating a finalized board with ideas and design plans that we have narrowed down during our session together. You will receive the finalized board after our call! Adding an idea board basically cuts the brainstorming phase of our call in half, so we can focus on creating ACTUAL results and a solid plan together during our hour!
CAN WE DISCUSS MULTIPLE ROOMS OR AN OPEN CONCEPT IN 1 CALL?
Depending on what you are wanting to discuss, we typically have time for only one room during our call. If you have multiple rooms or an open concept that you would like to talk about, I would recommend still including all of the information in the questionnaire, but designating what room or project is MOST important. We will start with that first during our call, then see how far we get from there. Additional sessions can always be added either to the end of the call if available, or for another date.
CAN MULTIPLE ROOMS OR AN OPEN CONCEPT BE INCLUDED IN 1 IDEA BOARD?
No, you will have to purchase 1 idea board per room or designated area. If you would like to add additional idea boards to your design session, please contact me. As stated previously though, even if I create an idea board for 2 different rooms, we may not be able to fit both rooms into one call, and an additional Design Session may need to be added.
WHY PURCHASE A DESIGN SESSION INSTEAD OF AN E-DESIGN PACKAGE?
Design Sessions are specifically made for people who really want to be hands on when designing their home, but may need a design bestie to either bounce ideas off of, help with making a few tough decisions, or to simply talk about what opportunities there are in the space. If you get overwhelmed by choices, sourcing items, have a complicated floor plan, have a hard time visualizing, want to incorporate unique and custom cosmetic renovations, I would recommend ultimately investing your money in my E-Design packages!
CAN I PURCHASE A DESIGN SESSION AND AN E-DESIGN PACKAGE TOGETHER?
For clients that are wanting to design multiple rooms in their home, but are on a tighter budget, I often recommend to allocate the E-Design towards the larger, more important (and more stressful) rooms, and Design Sessions for the smaller, easier spaces!
